4kings shuffle the pack

image: cod4_banner

After a high profile spat the 4kings roster had a quiet but successful QCUP placing third for the organisation. Now refreshed after the holiday period the side are ready to announce their new and improved line up with some familiar Call of Duty faces in the team.

United Kingdom Sam “corp” Peoples
United Kingdom Phil “palmz” Palmer
United Kingdom Lee “paina” Hannah
United Kingdom Ben “benz1ne” Bell
United Kingdom Andy “RcO” Hesky
United Kingdom Zack “Skipz” Jones

The side has a distinct Dignitas flavour to the roster with Palmz, skipz and ben all former team mates under the Dignitas brand. It is also a royal return for pain who was a pickup from supermen to 4kings back in Call of Duty 1, however he is also renewing his relationship with palmz and Rco who teamed up in Victum CoD2.

Corp outlined his plans for European Domination on 4kings website;

QuoteAfter the decision to change the original five members of the 4Kings team, Phil and I had to create a new lineup that would give us the potential and stability needed to succeed. Using the CrossfireQcup as a way to test the new lineup, and achieving a good 3rd place despite all problems, we decided that this was our best choice. Keeping the lineup fully UK was a hard task but the mix of old school players and fresh blood played exceedingly well together very quickly. CDC4 will be the first real test for the team so we have a good length of time to fill over any cracks and we look forward to dominating Europe.

Palmz Interview

Arise team iuro

Today a new Call of Duty roster has come together for the new year featuring some familiar names from the games past. Looking to build and work the side have pooled resources from many games in order to find the best lineup, and this is what they came up with;

Netherlands Clint "deppuh" van Os - ex TmG / H2k
United Kingdom Siôn "sion" Payne - ex syK
Poland Piotr "reaktiv" Przylubski - ex FLS
Finland Joonas "soppaj" Sorkio - KMC
Switzerland Florian "gifty" Gunzenhauser ex zP / KiH

deppuh gave Crossfire this statement;

QuoteWe decided to start something new, searching far and wide for a group of fat, eager and sexy gamers. After some photo shoots and interviews eventually it came together, it may be a complete mix of nations but the essential communication is still there accompanied with having fun! All of us have experience throughout the cod-scene, a few such as deppuh, reaktiv and sion have been playing this appalling game since cod-1. The only player lacking cod experience is gifty, but he has certain potential in skills and ability which he picked up while playing at a high level in ET. Achieving highly online and many LAN events including QuakeCon 2006 in Dallas. We still have a long way to go in terms of practice, which we will work on during this new year. If there are any super-model agents out there, we are ready and waiting, with thong experience.

Hello Roskilde

Long time Call of Duty hotshots Roskilde were surprisingly quiet in the early month of Call of Duty 4, however with Christmas and New Year now out of the way the nation of Denmark has one more thing to cheer for and that is the return of Roskilde!

Team Leader Kenneth "fRiJeC" Jensen has produced this statement for the press;

QuoteFor some time we have been trying to find a suitable lineup for our COD4 squad and tested a fair amount of new and old players, but finally we have found a solution we were satisfied with. After Trixy disappeared, Champ didn’t have COD4 and played WoW instead, we had some trouble fielding a team. The first player to present is Mik “Champ” Bødtker who has returned from WoW since he got us convinced WoW was over for him, we’re happy to have him back as he is a nice asset for the future. The 2nd player is a good friend of mine Mads “Hmz” Lauridsen, who’ve returned to COD4 with a great attitude and hunger to reach the top in this game. The 5 main players haven’t been selected yet, but it will be set over the next few weeks. I have no doubt we’ll cause some damage with this all Danish lineup. So far you’ll see us in action at Crossfire #4 and hopefully i33 too, besides those events we’ll participate in a few selected online cups. To prepare ourselves for the upcoming months, we’ll be bootcamping at our clubhouse 11-13th of January.

Denmark Kenneth “fRiJeC” Jensen
Denmark André “R3CoR” Jensen
Denmark Brian “woomzy” Bie
Denmark Lars-Michael “LM” Sydow
Denmark Mathias “adagio” Braun
Denmark Mads “Hmz” Lauridsen
Denmark Mik “Champ” Bødtker

Speedlink pickup 2!

image: 270136_smallGerman Call of Duty giants Speedlink have today announced the finalisation of their Call of Duty roster by picking up two players from Legendary, one them the winner of three Crossfire awards!

Having lost long time leader Fuschstute earlier this week the side had to reshuffle their pack quickly, it means that veteran allstar Trigger will take the leadership roll and taking their place alongside him will be none other than Humm3L & niTro formerly of Legendary. Legendary had a very good start to CoD4 surprising many, and their name was linked with a few high profile multigaming organisations, however it was Speedlink who seized upon two of their rising stars and used the Christmas period to practice with them and feel whether the team would bond.

I asked humM3L about his feelings on joining a pro team and what new experiences he was having after leaving ET.

QuoteIm really glad to play with ppl like Trigger , spaR or phY1. They got alot of knowledge and lan experience in the Call of Duty series. The team was formed by Trigger and he wants a team which is 100 % loyal and really motivated for the upcoming events. I think everyone of us know what we want and the next time will be hard but we have our first bootcamp in 3 weeks and ofc our first goal will be the CDC4 in netherlands which is coming closer.

Well i enjoyed my ET time really much but CoD4 is a new and good feeling and im happy that i changed my game. Its fast, skilled and tactical at the same time and the community is amazingly big. It really feels good to have a company such as SPEED-LINK in your back and the fact to be able to LAN as much as you want really makes it comfortable. But at the end only the team matters and even if the support will be good its way more important to have a stable lineup and team behind you.

This leaves the Speedlink roster for CDC4 looking as follows;

Germany Trigger
Germany phY1
Germany spaR
Germany humM3L
Germany niTro

This also confirms that SL have removed soulreaper from their lineup.

DIE joins Kojak

Da Imperial Executors have today joined up with Kojak to become their new CoD4 squad. The squad who finished 3rd in the Crossfire QCUP have had an impressive start to the game and have picked up from where they left off in CoD1 all those years ago.

Quote by janboDespite being a new organization, the management of kojak has been able to convince us of their project and we are glad we may now concentrate just on playing 100%, and of course, having fun. We're looking forward to attending CDC4 and hoping to build on a base of stability that we have within the team, its great now that our team of friends can go on achieve all that we've ever hoped to on the competitive scene.

The new Kojak.CoD4 squad is as follows;

Finland Antti "ana" Pessinen,
Finland Timo "dae" Lahtinen,
Finland Ville "id3" Järvi,
Finland Jani "janbo" Keskinen,
Finland Juho "jokke" Kämppi,
Finland Antti "sec" Sinisalo

Happy Christmas

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Crossfire

12 Days and counting

image: cheatsCheaters always win, except on days when they lose. I can't remember any cheater ever winning QuakeCon or CDC, so I guess they lose all the time. Coming in 2008 Crossfire will bring you not only a fresh list of newly exposed cheaters, but also a sample of the lengths they will go to. Here's but a small example...

Person A It's sound bit crazy to be thru ,both of u are rly skilled. I play alot vs u and u m8 in clanwars ,and i know how strong u aim can be. U must know 1 think ,if u take this bot ( i can give u) u must know 2 thinks.

1.everybot got difrent pb code( if some one send to pb ,only his bot will be detectd)
2.if u take bot we will know if u move this bot from u pc( via mail,msn or some comunicator)We hate leakers and usualy we punish guys like this. We are not only cheaters ,some of us are skilled hackers.
If u agree whit this add me to msn

Person B For some reason i cant add u in msn messenger says u dont have net passport something :P, if possible could u msg me in irc nick is xxxxx.

Or if that didnt wet your festive appetite, perhaps this will get those creative juices - who could this be?

Person C Heres my cb account i played in teams like XXX & XXX and stuff. also played eurocup and i will play the next EC too with my new team, if u give me the hack i will be mutch more active :D i would play every cup and every league and own them ;)

Person D I would like to have one of ur pr0bots because im intrested in playing with cheats at EC and NC i hope i could get this asap so i could cheat in NC-final in tuesday.

ET QCUP Finals

Its the last of the QCUP finals and it couldnt be any later in the night, but its good enough to keep you up all night! The Last Resort who are fresh from their win over name rivals aMenti take on Eurocup thrill seekers MPG who took apart ET legends Idle.

Europe TLR 2-4 Germany MPG
Time: 23:00 CET
ETTV: GamesTV.org
Shoutcast: QuadV w/ TosspoT

Its the second final in a week for MPG who came through against Idle in an efficient german performance, ground from their confidence in the Eurocup. Drago has not moved from the roof on frostbite in a week waiting for another group of pesky allies to shoot down, but TLR wont be easy targets. They swept aMenti aside and because of their quiet build up since forming they're not really fancied going into this competition, however they'll fancy their own ability to finish the job tonight.

CDC4 Revisions

CDC4 will be running the following adventurous tournament format for the event now just a little over 2 months away! We've a new sponsor that allows us to increase capacity significantly which will be announced in January, however the resulting logistics have cost us somewhat, hense a lower redistribution from the original outset.

Call of Duty 4 - 40 Teams - 6500 Euro
Wolf ET - 16 Teams - 3000 Euro
ET:Quakewars - 12 Teams - 3000 Euro
Warsow 16 Players - 600 Euro

That takes our total gaming prize purse to 13100 Euro!

Timeline

- Signups close January 6th
- Payments are due January 18th
- Tournament starts 9AM Friday 29th Feb!

CoD4 QCUP - Grand Final - EYE wins

image: v4

The time draws nigh, the Grand Final of the Crossfire QCUP Call of Duty 4 tournament is upon us! It is January 15th, 1807 and the first Napoleonic War is raging through Europe. The France French army launched an offensive towards Pomerania and are laying siege to the Swedish city of Sweden Strahlsund. However after a fierce battle that lasted nearly three months the Swedes were reinforced and defeated the 15.000 men strong French Army. The Swedish powerhouse Sweden EYE are clearly the favourites in this modern day encounter, but will they will be able to pull off a similar feat against the strong and unpredictable France oXmoze?

QuadV will be bringing you the grand final match of Sweden EYE against France oXmoze LIVE on Friday, December 21st at 8:30 GMT / 21:30 CET! United Kingdom Jay & TosspoT will be providing a live low resolution video stream (to solve the stability issue) including audio and VOD!

Once again we asked Sweden EYE|mintr and France oXmoze-vazy to share their thoughts with the community.
