JAET and stfu in last chance saloon

Two teams that have provided some excellent entertainment in this seasons Eurocup go head to head again in tonights Eurocup thriller! Its do or die for Belgium EDiT (cZar) and Finland stfu?

cZar were on the wrong end of an efficient German performance to put them into the Losers Bracket however demonstrated their own Vorsprung durch Technik to get past MoD to earn their place in this tie. Their game against megaPro was riveting and the side were perhaps unlucky to come away without a share of the spoils but they'll be looking for vengeance against the Finns. However feeling hard done by isnt confined to Belgium as stfu? and their Finnish fans will be feeling the same after their 4-0 defeat to Impact, a result that says nothing about their gritty performance against their allstar opponents. Tonight is the chance for one of these two teams to hope for a second bite at their winner bracket cherries should they get to the LB Final. In this writers opinion, tonights match is too close to call!

Last time these two teams met stfu (playing as j52) came out on top with a 4-0 victory, though to those who watched it the Belgians certainly caused their opponents some problems and this will prove a stark reminder to the finns.

GROF Collapse

Greek gaming organisation GROF have seen their Quakewars lineup fall on its head after their second place at i32. In truth they were outplayed by the Dignitas however some may have hoped that was a starting point for better things for the team, in truth it was the end.

Fans favourite United Kingdom hentai has moved into UK team pointblank citing that he wanted to stay with Quakewars and saying it was an easy decision as they were looking for a player and he felt they were skilled, friendly, respected and focused.

As for the rest of the roster, Netherlands 2easy, United Kingdom sin and Netherlands rufio will be moving over to recently released Call of Duty 4. Norway athex & Netherlands Waste are currently undecided about their future, whilst Netherlands Quark will be quitting gaming.

Impact take on stfu in EC epic!

Kablamo! Finnish upstars stfu? take on Impact Gaming in this weeks Eurocup fight of biblical proportions! Both sides have enjoyed a fine start to their season and got this far courtesy of a win over Finns Incomplete (stfu) and a default win over TLR (impact)

GamesTV makes Impact clear favourites for this tie and their undeniable firepower and big name players most certainly does favour them for this tie. However the nation of Finland has magical powers when it comes to ET and ruling out stfu? completely would be niave, they've shown much prowess in getting this far and are more than capable of winning this match should decem stay off the finlandia!

Report - stfu can take pride in the fact that they gave Impact a real run for their money despite the 4-0 Scoreline. Having been fullheld on Supply they then took the lead but outlasting Impact on the first stage only to be undone at the end by some sneeky work from gifty on the construction stage. On Goldrush they looked to have given up but had a real chance in the final moments to come away with a win only to once again have their hopes dashed. It was a very enjoyable evenings entertainment, capped off by 2 triple rifle frags from Iron.

Finland awaits

The nation of Finland who have proudly won the Nations Cup 3 times in ET's history on top of producing some of the games finest names turns into cival war tonight ahead of one of the most eagerly anticipated matches in this seasons Eurocup. Finland Incomplete take on Finland #stfu? in a match that could go either way. stfu? are the former junk52 lineup but left the organisation for undisclosed reasons earlier this week.

Both Clanbase and GamesTV put stfu as the favourites for the tie, though Incomplete will cite that they performed relatively well in their group to finish in second behind all conquering megaPro. stfu however won their group with relative ease, their performance against cZar, whilst convincing was 'incomplete' so its not beyond the underdogs to take victory tonight. I caught a word with stfu's charismatic leader, decem;

QuoteI personally hate to play against incomplete for 3 reasons, their playing style is just stupid, they are unhittable as it's fins vs fins (placebo or so) and finally due to their wallhack rifle. I'm expecting the match to be very even, most likely it requires a decider. Since most of our players actually concentrate when it's official match they are playing, I think we should be able to pull it off. 4-2 for us!

Last night Germany megaPro defeated Belgium JAET (cZar) in a truly entertaining match on Supply, Goldrush and finally Radar. Supply was an end to end battle with the Belgians nicking a victory, Goldrush was far more one sided for the Germans and Radar was its usual entertaining down to the wire self as an enjoyable finish.

- Warsow - 1vs1

How, When and for how much is all very much still in the planning, and you can help us with the most important part of this. Our intention is to run the tournament on one weekend in the newly refurbished and expanded WZZRD Enschede center, with additional PC's to handle the capacity of 4 games. However, when is a crucial decision with us keen to pick a date in 2008 that is free from exam clashes. We're currently looking at February so if you could be so courteous as to inform us of college and school exam dates that may effect your participation of CDC please post them here

Other than that, the vast majority of information including tournament sizes and prizepurses will be announced in the coming weeks along with a finalised date. We're looking to expand upon the fun community projects we did at CDC3 such as the Poker Night and BBQ aswell as the intense tournaments.

Crossfire and Devotii postpone CoD Tournaments

Following the sharp decline in Call of Duty activity in Europe, Crossfire and Devotii have decided to postpone their cash tournaments due to be held on November 2 - 4. The two organisations have released the following statements regarding firstly the Devotii GameIdol tournament and secondly the Crossfire Devotii Challenge tournament.

Quote by Andrew TaylorDue to the large number of clans moving away from COD2 in preparation for the COD4 launch the LAN finals for the Game Idol tournament has been cancelled due to a lack of interest. The COD2 Game Idol tournament will be re-launched as a COD4 tournament early in the new year and the same prizes will be up for grabs as clans compete for the right to be called “fnatic”

The 8 clans who are missing out on the finals of the COD2 Game Idol Tournament will be awarded with 100 Euros each and our sincere apologies that the tournament has been put on hold. They will also be guaranteed entry into the COD4 competition.

Once again we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and we look forward to the COD4 tournament in the new year.

Copenhagen gets the plague

Copenhagen eSport whose Quakewars team was regarded as one the leaders in European Quakewars has today confirmed that after a breakdown in the team, the side will cease to exist.

In a complicated situation, leader and talisman Sweden Numse closed the roster who he fathered through one2 and into leading danish eSports organisation Copenhagen. Copenhagen eSports this week were published across both national and electronic press for opening their gaming school will undoubtedly be shattered by the news.

Quote by anekiWe had some internal issues in the team and when Rundquist decided to quit gaming to focus more on his school, Numse took the decision to close down the team without further discussing it with all of us. It came as quite a shock to see the team go down in the drain without even knowing what was in his mind. Some of our players just logged in to realize that the team was no more, which is a sad way of ending a long relationship.
Either way, I wish the other players all the luck, I will be playing with some of them in the future, however some I have no interest keeping in touch with. Kudos to Rundquist however, he's one of the best players out there right now and I'm sad to see him go.

Rumour has it that some of Europes top teams are ciricling and preying upon the remaining players from CPH although a possible large scale revival is logically not off the cards.
