The second category in this year's Crossfire Community Awards is "eSports". Our cosy community has reached a point where most of the userbase have ventured into other games next to Enemy Territory and with the new Crossfire 4.0 just around the corner, it's only logical to set our sights on the bigger scope of the world of eSports. The following awards are meant to define exactly what is hot in eSports right now accoring to the Crossfire community. The first of our eSports awards is probably the easiest one, the game that made the best impression on our community - bar ET of course. The event of the year gives credit to the best organized, most hyped or most important LAN of the year, spanning all games played competitively. Moment of the year is especially about those highlights that stuck with you, be it ragequits, impressive wins or news that shook the eSports world. To conclude we give praise to the best movie the eSports scene has put forward this year. It doesn't matter what game it is, the idea is to award the movie that has managed to thrill even gamers that never seen the game before.

The first category of the Crossfire Community Awards is called "Crossfire" and spans all activity that went on on your favourite website. First of all and most important is the person who has in your eyes contributed the most to our scene in 2011. We also take a look at the content created on Crossfire over the past year. Whilst the game might be lowered in activity, the content flow on Crossfire was nothing but. Furthermore the best journal of 2011 is elected which is going to be an impressive feat. From the more than 10,000 (yes you read that right) journals that were created this year, one will be known in Crossfire history as the best journal of 2011! We also acknowledge the biggest retard of 2011. Just like last year, the winner of this award will be rewarded with a one month ban.

TIME Magazine has begun publishing its 'Top 10 Everything of 2011' and of most interest to you, the readers of Crossfire, will be the 'Top 10 Video Games of 2011.' TIME has a habit of producing content for the mass public so it may surprise you that their games list is surprisingly well formed. It was written by Lev Grossman, who attended PAX this year and guest spoke on the topic of writing in video game media.

Tribes: Ascend is an upcoming multiplayer only first-person shooter and the latest release in the long running Tribes franchise. It is due for release early in 2012 and is currently available to play as a closed beta. Crossfire has 7 Beta Keys to give away through a small competition which was held over the past 24 hours.
Tribes: Ascend features a class-based loadout system. Each loudout specifies your armour, weapons, items - and ultimately, your play-style. Expected loadouts are the Pathfinder, similar to the Scout from Team Fortress 2, and the Brute similar to the Heavy from Team Fortress 2. The game currently boats 12 loadouts, including the two above and everything in-between. A picture of all of the loadouts can be seen The game currently offers Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch and 'Rabbit' game modes. Some maps will retain the classic nature of the Tribes franchise with large open areas and base structures, others will have a more urban feel to them, featuring buildings and streets.

At ONEMOVE.ESO we're very happy to announce yet another great step forward with the pickup of the well known Gaming2Perfection ET team. Due to the Belgian organization having to shut down, the team found themselves without support. Quickly after the drop, ONEMOVE realized this was a great team and offered them their help and support and a few debates later the pickup was arranged.
After some impressive results, finishing second in CB:EC XXIV and third in Battle for Berlin, kReSti, sTOWNAGE and griim decided to leave the team. Searching for replacements, we contacted rAzZ and phyZiC from the former Queens.et side. Both players responded interested and decided to join up and create a strong new lineup with chry, Jere and Bl4d3. However, still left without a sixth player, the team spoke to several players and decided kARnAJ was the one to fill the spot.
Now, ONEMOVE.ESO is proud to announce its new ET team:

ONEMOVE.ESO have won the second JeeSports.ET Qualification tournament after a flawless push into the final not dropping a single round. Their opponents, Highbot, had also done the same and although it was a tight victory on supply the ONEMOVE side really came into their own on goldrush not allowing the enemy to steal the tank after they set around a 10minute time.
They now qualify for the Main tournament along with Qualification #1 winners Anexis eSports. Two more teams will qualify for the main tournament and for more information on that please Click Here.
