Dignitas confirm Jauhis capture

image: about_logoshgOpen champions Dignitas today confirmed their roster for the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 3 by picking up Finnish star Finland Jauhis.

Jauhis had missed out on earlier Challenge editions due to his military service however made a recent comeback to the scene. His name had been linked with a number of attending teams including SRP and sFx.Egoboys however today he ended speculation and signed with the multigaming giants. He will replace Ireland sol for the event who is unable to attend the event due to other commitments.

Quote by JauhisDignitas offered me a great chance to play again on the top level and I just couldn't refuse it. All in all we got a great group of talented players who understand the meaning of teamplay in this game. I'm excited to go to CDC 3 with these guys and expect us to do well.

Jauhis brings Eurocup winning experience from his time in Parodia and with it a massive reputation and fanbase. Fans will have their first chance to see Jauhis in Dignitas colours this week as ET-CUP 30 gets underway.

one2 join CPH

image: 6b1e351

Top Swedish Quakewars team one2 has today agreed to join leading Danish multigaming organisation Copenhagen.eSports.

The side have taken to the game like a fish to water having beaten Europe's other top sides such as Sweden Kompaniet and Quakecon champions Europe Dignitas. The side has won the QWL & Clanbase QW Cup aswell as winning tonights inQuake cup! The move is important to the game as it see's a second financed side on the top level of the game.

Copenhagen's manager Janus Bengtsson had this to say;

QuoteIt is always difficult to forsee the future skilllevel of quake wars, but this team has done amazingly so far and we have high hopes for this team. This is also a test from our side, since this is the first time we try to take in a team in a games betafase. Also we have old players in Copenhagen eSport, that will give QW a try when it is finished - so who knows maybe we end up with 2 QW´s team

Their lineup is as follows;

Sweden Numse
Sweden saxs
Sweden pliXs
Sweden Runken
Sweden kik
Sweden Soltis
Sweden aLx
Sweden aneki

Mick wields the axe!

Dignitas' CoD2 leader Mick has wielded the axe on his squad, in a remarkable move culling two of the sides household names the side are now left with just 3 players. Having not won a major event since CPC1, the side have just a handful of events left in CoD2 to shine.

United Kingdom Ben has been with the team as long as most has gone under the axe, along with United Kingdom Trainee who had a great i31, but hasnt had the greatest form prior to that. When the side picked up Blackmane after dropping mint the pressure was on Trainee to perform with the sniper as the side had a more than capable replacement waiting for him in Blackmane and it appears Mick has chosen Blackmane over Trainee.

Crossfire talked to Dignitas Manager ODEE who had this to say;

Quote by ODEEThe team decided that it needed changes even after we had a pretty good i-series and obviously we are disappointed by the changes. Mick feels that this would be a good way forward for the team and I do not think we will have a full UK lineup in the future. I will insist that the new players will be crash tested to destruction before they join us, trainee and beNN are hard to repelace. We will not attend wonderbase unfortunately, the new team will need to prove itself first.

The pressure is most certainly on Mick to deliver a squad that is capable of competing at the highest level. The rumour mill is undoubtedly rife with speculation on their replacements, with manager ODEE confirming they are likely to look abroad the potential list of candidates will be long.
