Kreaturen return

One of the oldest names in RTCW has returned to competitive action recently and today has finalised its lineup for CDC3. Kreaturen's name is most famous for its silver medal in RTCW Eurocup XIII and numerous endeavours into ET and its Eurocups.

They return with this lineup;

Netherlands BuLL
Netherlands M1lk
Netherlands teKoa
Netherlands Lun4t1C
Netherlands Azz0r
Switzerland gifty

Latest recruit and Kreaturens first ever swiss player, gifty had this to say;

QuoteAs I can speak for the whole team, we are all very excited about the following weeks. Old players like Lun4t1C are back, with motivation to come far the LAN, and thats exactyle what we need. Afterall we hope we can take the advantage with us, that the other 5 players have been playing together for ages, so the teamplay should be already quite far. We'll of course aim for the first place places, means we have to use our remaining time as good as possible to give the standing favourites a good fight, where we want to come out as winners!

1 out, 2 in for Speedlink

German flagship Speedlink have rung the changes post OOF in a bid to guide them back to the top of the pile once again. After returning to activity at CPC2 the side emerged with fresh face Germany z1n, however after a few months the team have decided that this was the wrong move and have replaced him with one new and one old face!

Leader Trigger had this say;

QuoteIt's unfortunate that after only 5 months we already have to say goodbye to Igor "z1N" Manschin. After we had decided against K1ckzZ in favour of z1N in the beginning of the year, we soon noticed that the chemistry between z1N and the rest of the team was not optimal and differences were apparent when we had to perform as a team. It gives us joy that we are still able to welcome Timm "K1ckzZ" Lücke to our team, he has great potential and was able to collect a huge amount of experience through playing with his former team, OCRANA.

The comeback of Michael "spaR" Ege pleases us as well, because he had played for our team already for over a year during Call of Duty 1 and Call of Duty 2 and therefore perfectly knows what we expect from a player. Due to his long inactivity he will be integrated as a back-up player at the beginning until the EuroCup LAN Finals. From then on we will work out a 6 player rotation line-up, the way we used to play when we achieved our biggest results.

Speedlinks new roster will look like this;

Germany Trigger
Germany Fuchsstute
Germany phY1
Germany Nightwalker
Germany K1ckzZ
Germany spaR

Small Quakecon changes

Quakecon have announced some small last minute changes to the rules for the Quakewars tournament this weekend in Dallas;

After a week of moderate testing with the closed beta, the following map specific changes will be made to the Enemy Territory: Quake Wars 6v6 Tournament:

On the map "Valley":
The defending team, Strogg, may not use either the Tormentor or
Cyclops during map stages 1 (bridge) and 2 (MCP)

On the map "Ark":
The defending team, GDF, may not use the GDF base Titan during
map stage 1 (generator)

On the map "Area22":
No changes.

As the game does not currently allow these changes to be enforced directly, teams will be required to honour them and report if opposing teams are in violation. Any team found in violation will forfeit the entire match.

TeK-9 win OOF2!

image: oof2

Chaos descends on Antwerp this weekend as the big guns of Call of Duty head to the Outpost on Fire for one of the biggest competitions this summer. European's elite are in attendance and it should promise to be a cracking tournament, one that is already underway! Day 1's results are flooding in and are as follows;

United Kingdom Reason Gaming 10:13 Poland FLS-Gaming - (Dawnville)
France The Last Resort vs Anonymous BYE
United Kingdom Reason Gaming vs Anonymous BYE
France The Last Resort [13:10] Poland FLS-Gaming - (Burgundy)
United Kingdom Reason Gaming [12:12] France The Last Resort - (Matmata)
Poland FLS-Gaming vs Anonymous BYE

Group A is already over and Reason Gaming have got a boring weekend ahead of them after going just one round away from the knockout stages, but the last gasp draw from TLR knocked the brits out!

Europe TeK-9 13:04 Belgium Aksioo Gaming - (Dawnville)
Netherlands CNO Gaming 13:08 Czech Republic cZklan - (Burgundy)
Europe TeK-9 13:04 Czech Republic cZklan - (Dawnville)
Netherlands CNO Gaming 13:03 Belgium Aksioo Gaming - (Burgundy)
Europe TeK-9 13:08 Netherlands CNO Gaming - (Carentan)
Czech Republic cZklan 13:11 Belgium Aksioo Gaming - (Toujane)

TeK-9 cruised through their group with three convincing wins over their opposition, CNO gaming did put up a little resistance and it was that which merited their second place in the group. For cZk it was a long trip that ended in 3rd place, their match versus CNO was always going to be the second place decider but five rounds seperated them from the knockouts.

Europe Team-Dignitas 13:11 Germany pewpewLASER - (Dawnville)
Slovenia infusedGaming 13:01 Germany mCstriker - (Burgandy)
Europe Team-Dignitas 13:04 Germany mCstriker - (Dawnville)
Slovenia infusedGaming 13:07 Germany pewpewLASER - (Carentan)
Europe Team-Dignitas 13:04 Slovenia infusedGaming - (Matmata)
Germany mCstriker 06:13 Germany pewpewLASER - (Toujane)

Dignitas got off to a slow start however still managed to rack up 3 victories including a domination of the otherwise very promising Infused Gaming. pewpewLASER managed to restore some pride with their victory over their fellow countrymen mCstriker but were unable to cause any upsets.

Italy Team-Impact 13:08 Europe here2own - (Burgandy)
Austria AlienGaming 13:11 France extremeGaming - (Burgandy)
Italy Team-Impact [12:12] France extremeGaming - (Dawnville)
Austria AlienGaming 13:07 Europe here2own - (Dawnville)
Italy Team-Impact [13:08] Austria AlienGaming - (Burgundy)
France extremeGaming [13:03] here2own - (Burgundy)

One more round for extremeGaming against Team-Impact would have seen them become the 2nd French team to reach the knockouts, but that was not to be and Team-Impact topped the group. AlienGaming managed to take 2 victories and sees them also progress into Day 2.

Czech Republic eSuba.SteelSeries [12:12] Belgium Dfiance - (Dawnville)
Germany HFD [13:07] Belgium Retroactive - (Toujane)
Czech Republic eSuba.SteelSeries [13:03] Belgium Retroactive - (Toujane)
Germany HFD [13:10] Belgium Dfiance - (Carentan)
Czech Republic eSuba.SteelSeries [13:11] Germany HFD - (Toujane)
Belgium Retroactive [08:13] Belgium Dfiance - (Dawnville)

No surprises here as eSuba tops the group with just a draw with Dfiance against them, although the latter couldn't capitalize and went down by 3 rounds to HFD who take 2nd place.

Netherlands H2k.Qpad [13:05] Anonymous We Are Retards - (Dawnville)
Germany KomaCrew [13:10] Belgium Amazing-Online - (Burgundy)
Netherlands H2k.Qpad [13:06] Belgium Amazing-Online - (Toujane)
Germany KomaCrew [13:02] Anonymous We Are Retards - (Dawnville)
Netherlands H2k.Qpad [13:03] Germany KomaCrew - (Dawnville)
Belgium Amazing-Online [13:07] Anonymous We Are Retards - (Burgundy)

Neither Amazing-Online or We Are Retards could cause any upsets here, as H2k topped the group with a convincing win over the 2nd placed KomaCrew.

Germany SPEED-LINK [13:03] Belgium idStar eSports - (Toujane)
Germany OCRANA [13:10] Netherlands overloAd Gaming - (Dawnville)
Germany SPEED-LINK [13:08] Netherlands overloAd Gaming- (Dawnville)
Germany OCRANA [13:09] Belgium idStar eSports - (Toujane)
Germany SPEED-LINK [13:07] Germany OCRANA - (Carentan)
Netherlands overloAd Gaming [13:06] Belgium idStar eSports - (Toujane)

Speed-Link continued their recent form to dominate the group whilst fellow Germans Ocrana proved that they won't be a walkover in the knockout stags.

Belgium tempkids [12:12] Netherlands inFlux Gaming - (Dawnville)
Germany HYPERACTIVE [13:07] Germany Raptor Gaming - (Matmata)
Belgium tempkids [13:10] Germany Raptor Gaming - (Dawnville)
Germany HYPERACTIVE [13:05] Netherlands inFlux Gaming - (Matmata)
Belgium tempkids [12:12] Germany HYPERACTIVE - (Burgundy)
Germany Raptor Gaming [05:13] Netherlands inFlux Gaming - (Carentan)

2 draws for TempKids sees them advancing to the playoffs but only in second place, as Hyperactive capitalized to top the group.

France The Last Resort [13:6] Belgium TempKids - (Dawnville)
Europe TeK-9 [13:3] Germany Ocrana - (Toujane)
United Kingdom Dignitas [8:13] Germany KomaCrew - (Burgundy)
Italy Team Impact [6:13] Germany HFD - (Carentan)
Czech Republic eSuba [13:5] AlienGaming - (Dawnville)
Netherlands H2k.QPad [10:13 Slovenia InfusedGaming - (Toujane)
Germany Speed-Link [13:7] Netherlands CNO Gaming - (Toujane)
Germany Hyperactive [13:6] Poland FLS-Gaming - (Dawnville)

A number of surprises here, the most notable being KomaCrew's defeat of Dignitas on Burgandy, whilst Infused took down H2k on Toujane and The Last Resort had a convincing victory over TempKids. There were easy victories for Speed-Link, eSuba, Tek9 and Hyperactive, whilst HFD managed to defeat Impact.

France The Last Resort [11:13] Europe TeK9 - (Toujane)
Germany KomaCrew [8:13] HFD - (Dawnville)
Czech Republic eSuba [13:8] Slovenia Infused Gaming (Burgundy)
Germany Speed-Link [13:9] Germany Hyperactive - (Carentan)

TeK9 were taken down to the wire by The Last Resort and Infused weren't a walkover for eSuba and the same can be said for Hyperactive's performance against Speed-Link. HFD also managed to take a victory over KomaCrew.

Belgium Tempkids [13:11] Germany Ocrana - (Burgundy)
United Kingdom Dignitas [13:16] Italy Impact - (Matmata)
Austria AlienGaming [11:13] Netherlands H2k.QPad - (Dawnville)
Netherlands CNO Gaming [13:11] Poland FLS Gaming - (Toujane)

Dignitas went crashing out at the first hurdle, with Italians Impact impressing on Matmata. Tempkids managed to defuse any issues that arose with Ocrana, whilst the Dutch pair of H2k and CNO Gaming took 2 round victories over their respective opponents.

Belgium TempKids [13:10] Germany KomaCrew - (Carentan)
Italy Impact [13:6] France The Last Resort - (Toujane)
Germany Hyperactive [9:13] Netherlands H2k.QPad - (Matmata)
Netherlands CNO Gaming [13:8] Slovenia Infused Gaming - (Carentan)

The successful runs of The Last Resort and Infused Gaming came to an end here as neither could continue their form, with H2k again struggling to just see off Hyperactive. Impact started from where they left off with Dignitas, as TempKids managed to see off KomaCrew.

Belgium TempKids [13:11] Italy Impact - (Burgundy)
Netherlands H2k.Qpad [13:7] Netherlands CNO Gaming - (Toujane)

The Italians failed to make the required impact on Burgundy as TempKids scraped through, whilst H2k dispatched of their countrymen on Toujane.

Belgium TempKids [2:13] Germany Speed-Link - (Toujane)
Netherlands H2k.QPad [13:8] Germany HFD - (Carentan)

Europe TeK9 [13:4] Germany HFD - (Carentan)
Czech Republic eSuba [13:10] Germany Speed-Link - (Burgundy)

The tactics and teamwork of TeK-9 easily overcame loyalty as HFD were no match on TeK9's favoured Carentan. Speed-Link put up some resistance but eSuba clung on to advance into the final.

Europe TeK-9 [22:20] Czech Republic eSuba - (Matmata) [3 OT's]

one2 defeat Dignitas in CB

image: cb_etqw_betacup_banner
one2 have made the headlines for all the right reasons tonight after defeating Quakecon bound Dignitas in straight maps in the Clanbase ET:QW beta cup Semi Final. They will face spaniards wArning or cause in the grand final of the cup.

The figures dont look good for Dignitas who were held for around 18 minutes on the first stage. Their defence was breached in little under 10 minutes and the second half got even worse for the side off to Dallas in just over a week. The Swedes set a time of 12 minutes and then fullheld Dignitas at the EMP stage. Substitute aneki had this to say:

Quote by AnekiIt feels good to be a part of the strongest etqw team at the moment. Dignitas and Kompaniet are teams not to be trifled with and both are extremely good teams which made the victory so so much sweeter. However I count on Kompaniet will be coming back with full force, trying to take the spot.

In the other match lolicon were no match for the spaniards as wArning powered through them, in truth the side offered little to no resistance and hentai was quoted as saying the side were under prepared for the match.

Popcorn please! QW, ET & CoD Heavyweights in Action

Tonight sees THREE massive online matches in three different games! The Call of Duty QCUP reaches its loser bracket final for July, The ETQCUP reaches its Loser Bracket Final and the biggest two Swedish teams battle it out in the Clanbase QW Beta Cup. Tonight is your lucky night!

Quakewars Sweden one2 4-0 Sweden Kompaniet

Its been a long time since Sweden has held a dominant position in team games. Gone are the days of iNfensus, SK.swe and Iceclimbers, however Quakewars may just be the rebirth of all things Swedish! These two teams currently occupy two spots in a vague ET:Quakewars top five, and some may place these two teams right behind Dignitas at the top. For one2 they've called on a man who knows all about Swedish dominance, former iNfensus star aneki has recently joined their ranks (he wont play tonight).
Kompaniet will look to stop one2's powerful form, having won 5 games in a row one2 are looking good, their annihilation of 4Rng was clear for all to see. However clean wins over Logitech and PiC make Kompaniet tough opponents for anyone!

Call of Duty Czech Republic eSuba 16-13 Finland Logitech.fi - 20:00 CET

The CoD QCUP for July has seen eSuba on something of a downward spiral since their 4th place at CPC2. The team who rose to shock everyone havent quite found the going so easily in recent tournaments. Defeats to oxid and Speedlink have shown that the team is far from on top form, remembering that this is the side that beat Speedlink and took TeK-9 to three maps at CPC2.
For Logitech they've recently undergone changes to their lineup. Losing the influential stim might have been the 'stimulus' for collapse. However not so, as Eplot1c has come in and taken the up the reigns of guiding this roster to victory once again. They're looking good again the Finns and they enter the Loser Bracket final as favourites.
