Cheaters everywhere?

I think anyone would agree nowadays there are more cheaters than there were in the past. You hear the "oldschoolers" whine about "randoms with 2 days old guids that own the shit". I can't deny I'm one of them. Why didn't we use to say this to unknown people? I can't remember even hearing about cheaters getting caught before the Dutch players Lucifer & copkiller.

"Get a life"

This phrase is one of the most common accusations and comments that I have come to associate with gaming; three short simple words, often seen alongside "no life", and that seem to suggest that the recipient - in black and white terms - needs to conduct themselves in different ways.

How competition destroys itself

This is a problem which has occured recently in the Counter-Strike Source scene, for years the competitors have been living under the shadow of their older brother Counter-Strike 1.6, however at the same time CSS was able to feed itself with publicity generated from the older but more popular and much more competive game.

Here comes Quakewars - Part 3 The Review

Well here it is, verging on three weeks later than previously expected the TosspoT ET:Quakewars review!

This is a EuroCup!

Editor note: It's about Call of Duty 2!
The EuroCup groupstage has passed and the teams participating in the playoffs to get into the grand lan finals in August got found. With 6.000€ prizemoney, this seasons EuroCup proved the worth having the very top and very best matches in an online event.

Getting the top of the top - Group A

I dont envy Adacore

Its funny how I also seem to play devils advocate in these cases but just like with RazZ I think there is a case for the defence. Shy and Keran are both pending a ban from Clanbase which would see one of the most successful teams in 2007 expelled from Eurocup XV and yet there is something of a grey area to be examined. I'm not interested in defending them, simply highlighting the difficulty of the decision ahead.

Achilles heel of Dignitas ?

Last night I watched and grimaced as I saw a near full strength Estonian side quite simply being torn apart by a youthful and energetic Belgian squad. The showpiece return for the Dignitas players after an extended absence from the Nations Cup side since the semi final loss to Germany 2 seasons ago was abruptly put on hold. As Belgium showed no remorse and took a deserved 4-0 victory.

The Aim train

Aim is everything?
“put the 6 best aimers together and u got the best team around”

This is without any doubt a daring statement, after all Enemy Territory is a team-play based game and putting together the best aimers isn’t a guarantee you got yourself the best team around. Is it?

The New Dignitas?

Thinking about Enemy Territory at the moment, there is one team that everyone knows, one team that all other teams want to beat and one team that was, before the CPC2 LAN unbeaten in over 365 Days - A whole YEAR of competitive Enemy Territory matches and that team was Dignitas.

Scary Config

Recently, WL released its own config. Having heard so many troubled tales about the Global Config, I decided to check out the three configs made by ESL, WL and CB. So what did this investigation turn up. An endless list of commands, the configs looked totally different and it took me over 5 minutes to find these big differences:
