- Entry:
At the moment standing as the Israeli community manager , running the servers, the forums, cups and teams, #rtcw.isr / vgames.co.il
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: My names is Dor. I’m 23 years old ,playing ET since 2004,In 2007 I had to quit due my army duty, got back around in the early of 2011 and since then been here and there.
Not always as an active player but playing ET in any chance I got.
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: When I got back to the Israeli ET community in 2011 I found it quite dead, so dead that we lost 80% of the players we had, everyone I knew has quitted gaming and it has seemed to me like none of the old school players that stayed really cares about that situation anymore, so I decided to step and try taking care of the community as I can't see anyone of the new guys better knowing around then me.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: Yes, I hope.
I hope I could manage that CB will consider our situation and will let us play on weekends, In Israel when you are in the army, you don't really get to see home very often as you may guess, most of our well known and the old school players can play only on weekends.
So for me there is a couple of line ups I could get, but it depends.
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: A good magician never reveals his secrets :)
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: I see the players that are active and semi-active as very good players, and mean it.
The main problem is that I'm really concerned of the fact that in Israel we don't have an active clan, we do mix and play with each other, but the lake of being in a competitive path and not really learning play as a team influence the new players that came around.
I hope for the goal, going as far as we can making our best, I'm not sure and It's sad saying it, that Israel could make up a team for next NC, that's way I prefer to say that we will do our best, the rest will be history.

[Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: Hi, my name is Idan Ishi, I'm 21 years old, soldier in the IDF, playing ET since 2003.. moved to the pro scene in late 2005
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: Known by most players in Israel, been the captain for quite a while now, can gather up the best guys in our scene.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: I've got a lineup in mind, I could get them but it won't be an active one due to army duties and real life issues.
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: Kinda the same as last year's.. hope to get some new faces as well..
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: If we will take this seriously we can make it through the group phase, but it won't happen.. just here for the love of the game. Just collecting more memories to look back and laugh at. :-)

TimbolinA
- Entry:
I have 7 years experience in Wolfenstein ET, started playing ETPro since 5 years ago. I have excellent knowledge of the game and know how to coach people to victory. I'm always up for a laugh and can play serious when needed. This should be my first time playing for team NL but I'm sure I’m up for the job since my improvement of skill and tactics every map. I will lead team NL to victory with nice epic moments and recordings.
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: I'm timbolina, I’ve been using that nickname ever since I started playing Enemy Territory. Started out in a NQ clan which had an ETpro section that I liked and joined. Didn't take very long before we got into all these Clanbase Cups and stuff. Now 4 years later I'm still rolling.
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: Because of my capability to coach people, I know how to motivate them to get the best results out of them. And of course I have pretty good knowledge of the game and maps, which would also help. :P
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: Yes, I already have a line up in mind and back-ups. Sure I'll be able to get this people!
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: saKen, Joshua, teKoa, L4mpje, sQuid, NoHead
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: To win the NationsCup, which, of course, we will.
TROPiC
- Entry:
I’m Tropic.
I’m Highskilled.
I’m Playing for DRAAKJES.
I’m the NEW Team Netherlands Captain.
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: Hi my name is Tropic, I’m playing et for like 2 years now, 16 years old and yeah ...
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: I think I can build a great line-up for the team, with some old-school Dutch players.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: Yes. Azatej, perfo,teKoa,Lightning, joshua, aphesia. If those can’t play I can build up another line-up np.
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: Well my goal is top 3 for sure, we know that Finland is one of the best of all these countries, and not to forget we also got good countries like; Poland, Belgium and Estonia.
But with some good practice we could handle those teams definitely.
xPERiA
- Entry:
Kinda pisses me off to see some names in the captain list and especially with those pathetic stories, last season I wasn't able to make a stable lineup because the captain was never around. Hoping to be able to, this season! (also excluding those oldschool newbs that feel too good to play for their country!) alot of fresh blood that reached a decent level so I think it's time for an all-new team NL, and rape other noob countries like finland and germany.
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: Hello, I'm Amando ' xPERiA ' van Krevelen, lately playing under the names "incon" or "IFaCKuMaTh3R"
My first team was "Kreaturen" and got 'known' while playing with my belgian buddies "Belgian Fraternity" I participated with them on CiC7 and reached 5th place. Also won OC premier with bF.
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: I think I'm the 'best' person for being captain because I'm still a bit active and I'm one of the better Dutch players at the moment. I have an open mind towards new Dutch 'talents' and will certainly give them a chance to prove themselves.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: I have a lineup in mind, where I'll lead the team myself, followed by players who've been active over the past year and have been performing well. I'm not going to name players but my brother Lun4t1C will be backup since he wants to give the new people a lineup spot and well, I guess I'll consider a few people as trials maybe? Don't know yet.
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: Well my goal is obviously beating Germany, last season they won against us twice because we just didn’t practice at all, and my brother and I had so much lag it was unplayable. So basically it was 4v6. I think with enough motivated players we can reach the finals season.
stib
- Entry:
Holland hasn't been performing in NationsCups lately and I'm the one who can change that! I have pretty much knowledge of the game and it's players, especially the Dutch ones! I could form a pretty awesome line-up and make Holland play like Holland should play.
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: I'm stib, I've been around for a pretty long time already. I used to compete at close to the highest level in ET, playing for teams such as charism, Limbo and Infused and I have played on three Crossfire LANs as well.
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: Well, Team NL hasn't been really good the last couple of years and I think that's definitely because of the lack of interest of most of the best Dutch players. We've seen a lot of great names disappear, but I think with a bit of training and with the players who're currently up for the job, we should be able to get way further than before. Also, I'm not playing ET actively myself anymore, so I can put a lot of time in managing the Netherlands.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: I do have a line-up in mind, yes. But I still have to do some research and talk to players who could possibly play for the team. You probably won't see major changes comparing to last year though, simply because of the inactivity.
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: Yes I would, I'm not going to throw random names around yet, because that would be just stupid. As I said, the line-up should consist of most of the players who competed last NC, you can look that up yourself.
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: We should be able to get to the best 4 teams this edition, I'm not promising a final, but the Netherlands really should get to the semi-finals, depends on who they have to face in earlier stages though.
Kri
- Entry:
Samen met team draakjes roll ik hard.
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: I am Kri. I have been playing with several teams but most people know me from team [DRAAKJES]. We have some great achievements and willing to get some more.
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: Because I know how to play.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: I have a line up in mind yes. I’m sure they will play. It won’t be the strongest team if you look at the individuals but together we will be stronger than any other Dutch team. I’m sure of that. No bullshitting, we will beat any Dutch ego team.
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: [Draakjes]
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: Our goal is to surprise every other nation. Most people hate because they don’t know us. Some hate us because they do know us. Others just accepted the fact that we are a great team, who have been playing together for a long time now.

jinx
- Entry:
I always have a positive and upbeat attitude and
enough experience with the game itself.
I can think of new tactics/fix old ones.
I will help my teammates improve where it is possible.
+ with me as captain, Team NL will rain down in a Godly fucking firestorm upon them.
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: Hi I am rick from the Netherlands of course and 20 years old.
I am known as jinx @ ET, if you didn’t know me now you do and we should be friends!
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: because I am nice, good-looking, people love me etc. etc.
I have enough knowledge/experience of the game itself.
I know the maps & most of the tactics and I could make up a whole new tactic just like that because that’s just how I roll.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: I got some people in mind, and I think that almost everyone already knows who will be in there but that is for them to fight about.
and I think I will be able to get the people that I want.
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: actually I would mind, it’s staying a ''secret'' so team NL stays mysterious just to keep the hype up :)
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: everyone knows that goal that will be to end at the first place of course.
and I know we are able to take the to the finales.
adeto
- Entry:
Since I, RMY or on CF adeto, have played this game for ages I know how the game works and what's need to win games.
I think I know alot of dutch players that are the best of their nation and can, like The Netherlands used to, become part of the top nations again. Doing it with a fresh new face instead, since the last couple of seasons it hasn't worked for Team NL!
I guess that's all and vote for me!:D
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: I've played this game for several years now and before that I've played my share of RtCW. I'm not the kind of guy who wants to be in the spotlight when it comes to things so I think most oldskoolers don't know me either! :P I haven't played ET at the highest level, my 'best' achievement was 9th place at AEF with ALMIGHTY.ET, however I do have experience and an idea of how this game is ment to be played.
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: Most of the players I have in mind for the team are people I have personally played with a couple of times, so I know how they are on communications and how they play the game. I know I'm the best for the job because I am flexible as a captain and will allow some other people to help me with my lineup and organization. Also I run the multigaming organization ONEMOVE.ESO, so I have what it takes to run a succesful team, which I hope to transfer to my duties as Team NL captain!
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: I do have the base for a lineup in mind, however I am still deciding where I want to go with the players. I want to create a lineup with some experienced oldskoolers to call the ingame shots, and some fresh talent who have certainly proven themselves over the last year. One of my main goals is to create a lineup that gets along well and knows how to perform as a team, not just individually.
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: As I stated abobe I have an idea for the base and since I'm still looking to full the lineup with some faces, I will announce my idea for the lineup closer to the start of the qualifiers. However, I do want to say that my lineup will be a mix of new and old(feel free to share your lineup ideas people of CF!).
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: Well, it's hard to say as the dutchies haven't been performing as well as they used to but we're certainly looking to pass the groupstages. In the end I'd like to see us finish in a top 5 position, but the competing teams from Germany, Finland, England and Belgium are definatly forces to look out for!
Conclusion:
All the applicants have put together a fairly decent line-up by the looks of things. However if you ask me I'ld go for either adeto or stib since both of them seem to concider new players mixed with some oldschool players instead of TROPiC trying an all oldschool line-up and Kri trying to play nationscup with his standard team. However the team that TimbolinA has put together shouldn't be ruled out as well so basically there are 4 good contenders for this years captaincy and it'll be interesting to see who comes out on top!

Zodiac
- Entry:
I'm not going to make a team if we're unable to find 6 players currently playing or have played on a high level (and still is good!). Last year was a failure because of us being unable to field 6 good enough players. I'd rather want us to not participate than to lose every match because of our players not being good enough.
If you want a team Norway no matter what -- even if we lack good players -- vote for someone else (if anyone else applies). If we on the other hand manage to gather 6 good players, I'll lead us to victory!
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: Yeah, I'm Eldar aka Zodiac, an elected politician from Norway who also enjoys playing games. I'm 19 years old, been playing this game for what seems like ages (but in reality it's since 2004-05). I've played NC a couple of times before, and played a lot with Target in cups like OC Premier. I’ve also played with #Vj for some years, the best mix clan in ET.
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: I don't. Not anymore at least. Snuble decided to run for captaincy and I don't have any objections against that. In the beginning we had our discussions but it's seems we've come to an agreement. Snuble having more experience in being captain and us agreeing on how we want things there's no use in us fighting over becoming the captain.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: Yes, I do. And no we won't be able to get everyone back with Norway being a small country with few players, but it seems as if we can surprise with a lineup of old known names.
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: I don't care about releasing any lineup right now, it's just that things aren't sure enough yet to be able to give any lineup. I can at least say that Snuble, Domi and me are still somewhat active and that we're working on getting some old players to return.
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: My goal (and the reason I decided to run for captaincy) was to field the best lineup from this country as possible. Snuble's goal was to represent our nation, regardless of what players we could field. Fortunately it seems that we'll be able to represent Norway with 6 good players, so we're both happy. I'd say we're aiming for winning some matches in our group, and with luck proceeding further.
snuble
- Entry:
I would like to apply as captain for Team Norway.
I have been captain for several seasons, so I believe I have the experience to do a good job for Norway, both as organizer and player.
After some years away from the ET-scene, I am now back active, and are looking forward to another exciting season of Nations Cup.
I believe I can put together a team that can be one of the big surprises in this seasons NC.
I know my young padawan Zodiac wants to either field a strong team, or no team at all. Those who have had this as their goal in earlier seasons of NC, have seen a Team Norway which has not participated at all, or not completed all the matches in their group.
I believe that Norway should participate no matter what. We have talent, we have players with skill, and I hope they will want to play, but if the best cannot compete, there are others who wants to put their flag on their chest and fight as good as they can.
Forfeit is not an option, neither is having a Nations Cup without a team representing our beautiful nation.
- Q&A:
Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: Hey, my name is Mats Teigen aka Snuble. I am 29 years old, from Norway. Living together with my pregnant wife and our little Golden Retriever puppy.
My online gaming history is 100% Enemy Territory. I started playing this game while I had a knee injury from football. Back in 2003 I think it was. A friend introduced the game to me and I fell immediately in love:)
Since 2003, I have been at 2 LANs (SHG Open in Copenhagen and CPC3 in Enschede), participated in Clanbase Eurocup, and in NationsCup on several occasions, also as captain.
I ended my ET career in 2007 ( (url) [www.crossfire.nu] ), and I was very sure I would never return.. Guess what… it took me 4 years, but I’m back baby;) (Even though this time it’s not 7 days a week, and not hardcore!)
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: I believe I am the best man for the job, as I have a very long history and experience from the game. I am a real old-schooler in ET history. I have been captain before, so i know the drill, and I believe I am a respected person in the ET scene. I have never been the best player, but I am quite sure people look at me as a fair player who treats others with respect. I think a captain needs to have good skill game wise if he is to play himself, he needs to behave like an adult, and have respect for opponents and admins, and also be able to gather the best players to work with him.
I believe I am that guy!
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: Yes, I have part of the lineup in mind, and I do believe I will get the lineup together. I do have one player I’m unsure about, but I do hope he will come back for this NC, and if so it will really help out the team.
Q: Would you mind giving us a sneak-peak in your cards and give us this line-up? (including backups)
A: I’m not going to inform yet about final lineup with backups, but i can mention a few guys that not many expect to see as they have retired: Lakaii, Kris and Eirik. (Nothing is 100% sure, but we are working on getting them back for the NC
Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: The goal will be determined when we know which players that will be there 100%. Our main goal, no matter what team we use, is that we want to pass the group stage. If I can gather the right players, then the goal will be to win, at least, the first knockout stage. After that it all depends on the opponents we get.. If we meet Finland for example, its bye bye no matter what lineup of Norwegians I can gather:)
Conclusion:
By the looks of things and from what I've heard from both players the best bet here would be snuble. Both players have talked with one another and have come to an understanding on how they should run this years team so basically it doesn't really matter who you vote for except for the fact that snuble has done the job before which is why my vote would go to him

awsome job man !
You couldn't be arsed to verify whether all applies had a common sense (people applying for other countries).
Lol....The only words worth writing that this guy is a fucking joke, nothing else.
:XD
So, Simoon's apply doesn't seem to be a troll for you but Kamz does? :XD I'd like to remind you that Kamz was already the UK captain.
Overall, if you want to contribute, do some PROPER research next time.
Also, I don't like the layout but that's a subjective feeling.
I've tried my best finding out most obvious trolls. That's why SIMOON's application was removed alongside with some others before the votes were opened. The ones that are still in there are the ones that were allowed by ClanBase. I've based my article on the votes allowed by ClanBase so don't shoot me for the mistakes still in there. (referring to for example / IceQ here) This is also why I asked the community in my first comment to simply point out some obvious mistakes. Keep in mind I'm doing this freelance and am in no way connected to ClanBase or it's crew...
Kamz is inactive, unable to play himself due to lack of time yet is able to be captain? Even his application on clanbase states he's trolling. Thus I find it not worth mentioning. I'm not even one of the players that hates him. And yes I'm well aware of the fact he's been Captain before in the past.
And about the conclusions I wish to remind you that I've stated in my intro that these are my personal views. I didn't pick dialer simply because I find him arrogant in his answers and think he's the obvious pick for the job. As I said, that's my opinion.
Doesn't matter. You are here as a journalist. So provide proper information for your readers instead of asking them for correcting your mistakes.
Does a team captain need to play? Besides, if you want to go deeper by writing "Even his application on clanbase states he's trolling" - maybe that's a troll statement (and thus a serious apply?) You never know with Kamz +D
I know those are your conclusions, I was just laughing at your opinion about team PL capt. So basically, what pros and cons do you see @ dizel and dialer and why would you pick dizel over dialer? I'm just curious how did you make that pick.
Furthermore, as someone stated, you could've mentioned nations that played last NC but did not have a single applicant.
I'm not saying that it's perfect job, but you're being way too harsh here. There are/were some mistakes and some parts of the text could've been written in a better way, but you can't really argue about his personal opinions (you could argue about whether they belong to this type of article or not, though).
I would say that this article offers a good amount of necessary information for the voters and gives a good overall look of all the captain candidates. Interviews had good questions and the article included answers from most of the major candidates. I personally think that the format is decent. Of course it could've been better and more stylish like everything can, but atleast it was clear and simple.
Atleast I enjoy reading this type of articles and we don't have too many active contributors around here.. I guess you have some grudge against P5Y, because otherwise I can't really understand your comment
1. Mentioning SIMOON applying for Bahrain was pointless as it obviously was a troll, but there was a mention that the application was removed for the reason that SIMOON has previously played for France.
2. About Kamz.. best way to handle it would've probably to ask him for the answers and speculate the trolling part as a personal opinion, but taking a look at Kamz's original application I think that it's just fine to not take it as a serious application.
3. Some mix-ups with player names and NC/EC
I don't think that there were any major mistakes that disrupted my reading experience. How ever the writer could've gone through the text a bit more carefully to find the smaller mistakes. Of course the texts are always more enjoyable to read when there are no spelling mistakes and all the facts are correct.
What comes to the feedback, of course it is by far more useful to post your opinions and point out the parts you liked or disliked and why than just post a generic response like "good job". Constructive criticism is very important and writers should appreciate it a lot. I just don't think that you really succeeded in giving it by just pointing out those 3 parts in your original reply without giving any hint as to what's really wrong with them and how to improve. Also one of those pointed out parts was his personal opinion about the best candidate for Poland based on the information/answers provided by candidates and you can't really criticize him for that.
Do you really see these as proper feedback for the writer to improve for the next contribution? (I know that you explained them a bit further in your next reply, but you could've already done it in the original reply in a more respectable way)
Besides, I wrote my comment in paragraphs. Some parts refered to mistakes but some (eg. team-PL one) refered to opinion with which I disagree and comment in a way I did.
humM3L's case is different as he has presented Russia in previous tournaments. I'd say that everyone who has been following top level ET closely knows that and the information is easily available (unlike possible second nationality in case of hvk and IceQ). This mistake should've been noticed by both CB and writer of the article in my opinion.
I already said my opinion about Kamz's application and yeah, I have to agree that the part about SIMOON wasn't written well at all and it shouldn't have been included in the article.
I've discussed the situation of hummel before the votes were finalised but he was allowed to enter the world cup for germany when clanbase nc didn't take place and it was cf world cup or smth and now he's allowed to play for germany since then. If you want a better explenation ask the admins...
Also I feel a bit offended that you quoted my text as it would've been written by tornis :D
I don't know of the rules changed for this nationcup, but afaik zerender and hummel or even fireball have tried it before and they couldn't make it because rules were clear: once you play for 1 nation, you can't play for anyother nation anymore.
but in ET at first i tought it was same rules, but i think some russian ( hummer? zerender ? ) played for russia & also germany, its better to not change country, better if its not allowed.
:o
cheers
but if you're able to give criticism you should as well say what's good about the work and not only what's bad.
Lately i don't see much active journalists around here. Even EC was totally fucked when it comes to coverage untill baggiez wrote a newspost about the final...
Looking at it this way i think we should be thankfull for the work P5Y did here.
And ofcourse it can still improve but then that's for the next time as i think the consept is realy good to start with imo
Its not his fault he doesnt know every single applicant and that CB lets them apply even though they have no relation to that country. If you want to point fingers, point fingers at CB for implementing a ridiculous system that allows non members to apply.
As for your "criticism" on his personal opinions about captains picks, as he said it is of his own opinions concluded from the interviews he conducted.
He obviously spent a hell of a long time doing this article and putting aside CB's fuckups and his own opinions, then it was a great job. Most ppl didnt even know who had applied for their own country.
Your post wasnt critical, it was pointless.
I've been critical over mistakes. At opinions - everyone has it's own but I can comment it in any way I want to. If I totally disagree, I can laugh, cry, whatever and it doesn't need to be presented in a sophisticated way. So no, it wasn't criticism @ opinions, but it definitely was @ meritorical mistakes.
And don't call me a prick if I judged someone's work negatively.
he's became one of us!

The only reason he considers himself like this was cause he actually used hacks (and got busted) and thus could shoot decently.. but in no way could he ever beat the Codelust gang!

Not looking to start a fight or debate, just replying to this old comment for fun & clarification. What I said is the truth :) (and that's what most active 2.55 players from those times know to be true, by the way. The only ones accusing me of cheating for the whole time are mostly players that had already moved to .6b)

Though if you meant just missing countries which have participated NC in the past, I can't really be bothered to go through all the seasons, but atleast these countries came into my mind:
Italy
Spain
Latvia
Denmark
Ireland
Also I'd guess that atleast Slovakia, Greece, Lithuania and some other European countries have played in NC earlier
Thanks!
China, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Brazil, Kazakhstan applied at least once or more times :)
+ Marocco and Korea played 3o3 NC :)
